California Proposition 65 Compliance

In June 2015, the State of California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment announced that ethylene glycol has been added to the list of chemicals that are subject to California Proposition 65 regulations. This addition of ethylene glycol to the California Prop. 65 regulation requires KOST® USA, Inc. to issue the specific warning on all of our ethylene glycol products’ labels in one gallon containers, drums and totes. The labeling requirement is as follows:

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

KOST® USA has begun the process of complying with the Proposition 65 regulation and will have completed the addition of the warning statement on or before June 19, 2016.We are encouraging our customers to sell through all old labels without the above warning before June 19, 2016. Any product that still has old labels on it after the June 19th date will need to be labeled with an additional sticker, sign or placard with the above warning. Please note that product sold in any state other than California does not have to include the new Prop 65 warning.
