KOSTGard® TO-4 Fluids

KOSTGard TO-4 Fluids are formulated to provide optimum performance in off-highway transmissions, drive trains, and hydraulic systems without the compromises inherent in the mixed-fleet engine oils previously used in these applications. They are blended with premium base stocks and high quality additive chemistry that provides outstanding oxidation stability, clutch-plate friction, elastomer compatibility, and anti-wear protection in gearboxes. All grades have optimum viscosity stability and excellent high-temperature/high-shear viscosity.

KOSTGard TO-4 Fluids meet Caterpillar’s latest TO-4 specifications that cannot be satisfied by modern engine oils. They provide optimum balance between static and dynamic friction in six clutch materials used in power-shift transmissions, drive train clutches, steering clutches, and wet brakes. They also minimize chatter in oil-cooled disc brakes, and optimize durability for extended service.

KOSTGard TO-4 Fluids also provide excellent anti-wear performance in power-shift transmissions, gearboxes, and final drives. They provide outstanding FZG gear wear control, Vickers 35VQ25 pump protection in hydraulic systems, Allison C-4 performance, and API GL-3 EP gear score control. They are recommended for Caterpillar, Case, Komatsu, and other contractor, logging, mining, and farm equipment.
