KOSTKut 401 Series

The KOSTKut 401 Series is an advanced light colored and low odor severe duty active metalworking formula developed with synergistic polymeric additives. These additives incorporate good oxidation stability, excellent extreme pressure (EP), lubricity, anti-weld and anti-wear properties significantly improving tool life and enhancing work piece finish. This advanced fluid utilizes no chlorine for extreme pressure (EP). Instead, KOST USA utilizes synergistic chemistry to effectively deliver EP protection. The polymeric additive system reduces the tendencies for the production of mist.

The KOSTKut 401 Series is designed for use with both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, excluding copper and its alloys. They are suitable for use in many different type of metal removal application such as threading, turning, tapping, gear hobbing and cutting and milling. They are especially suited for the use in screw machines operating with high surface speeds with a variety of materials such as aluminum, free machining steels, stainless and many other ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, excluding copper and its alloys.

KOSTKut 401B was specifically designed for gun drilling and deep-hole drilling of ferrous materials. The low viscosity aides in the ability of the fluid to remove swarf and chips from the hole, cutting oil to reach the bottom of the hole to protect tool life and work piece tolerance, and allow rapid settling of the fines for removal.
