KOSTherm HD TEG

KOSTherm HD TEG is a fully-formulated virgin triethylene glycol based fluid engineered for the use in natural gas dehydration systems. Overtime the glycols will degrade and create corrosive glycolic acids, gummy tars and fouling coke deposits. The inhibitor additive package utilized in this fluid is designed to control and limit the formation of thermal and oxidative degradation by-products as well as neutralized detrimental corrosive acids extending the fluids operating life and system operating temperatures. The inhibitors also protect metals against the corrosive tendencies of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2) and other acid gasses with no negative effects on the water absorbing properties of the fluid. KOSTherm HD TEG has no adverse effects on elastomers, seals, or other construction materials commonly used in dehydration equipment.

When used in gas dehydration units, KOSTherm HD TEG should never be cut back with water prior to use.

KOSTerm HD TEG may also be used as a water extendable heat transfer fluid for line and bath heaters in natural gas gathering and pipeline transport systems. It may be diluted down as low as 30% glycol and still maintain effective corrosion resistance. The water used should be free of minerals and contamination to extend the usefulness of the fluid.
